Sunday Blog Hopping Stroll

Come join our blog hopping stroll.

Twin Fest 2010

On Tuesday, this last week my good "twin-mommy" Melanie along with her identical twin 8 mth old girls and two of her three sons came down to our lake cabin to spend a few days soaking up the sun with our 5 kids. Between the two of us we have 10 children! Both of us got surprise twins for numbers 4 and 5! Melanie was due a week after me but had her girls 5 days before Eli and Ellie were born. We met on Twins Magazine message board and she only lives 2 hours 15 mins away! It is so exciting when we get to see each other. So we spent 2 days with 4, 8 month old twins, two six year olds, a 5 year old, a 4 year old, and a 3 year old. We survived and had a blast too! We can't wait to do it again! Melanie and I are working on being able to get together for the twins' birthdays come November. Conviently for me it is deer hunting so Quinten wont mind if I go for a couple days because he will be busy deer hunting anyway.

So I will leave you with pictures of our "Twin Fest 2010".

Catching a snake. Totally a boy thing to do!

My First Blog Hop

Well I am not really sure how this all works but it sounds like fun! I love to read other blogs and I think the circle of blogs on this Blog Hop fit my interests. I am excited to read some more blog posts!

8 Months old!

Wow! 8 months have gone by so fast! Somedays I want to go back to the first few weeks when they were so itty bitty and hold them like that again. It goes by so fast! But they are so much more fun now with smiles and giggles and little baby hugs! It seems as if I only get on here to blog about their monthly birthday and accomplishments. Life is busy with 5 children!

Let's see this month Eli's 3rd tooth has come through and three more are working their way through. Soon he will have SIX teeth already! Ellie is in no hurry, she only has her bottom two still. But she is in a hurry to go places! Ellie is crawling! She is a mobile baby now, look out world she is on her way! Ellie army crawls but only gets up and rocks on her knees still. One day she will figure it all out. Eli on the other hand figured out how to sit up and play with toys and not fall over. Crawling not so much. Ellie doesn't sit. This is one example of how it seems they do the opposite of each other all the time. In a couple weeks Eli I am sure will start crawling and Ellie will figure out sitting. It is a back and forth affair with them.

This past week Eli had his first ear infection with an accompanying fever over 104 degrees! Thankfully the fever broke after a couple days but it didn't save us a trip to the ER when it wouldn't go down with the max. dose of Tylenol and Motrin that I could give at home. Came home with a stronger doseage to go with and it came down very easily. High fevers in little babies are a bit scarey. Today though he has broken out in a rash, might be hives. I think it is the Ammoxicillian. Tomorrow I will be calling the doctor to see what he thinks. My Father In-Law was allergic to Pennicillian as a child so Eli might be too.

Look at all of those kids! They had so much fun together and lived in the water pretty much the entire time. There were 12 including the babies!

Here are the 12 cousins. Don't they look great all matched up?
