For the past 5 years I have been involved with Project Linus. I ask people to make blankets all the time for Project Linus and once a year I host a "Make A Blanket Day" to benefit Project Linus. The national "Make A Blanket Day" is generally the 3rd weekend in February. This year I choose March 5th. It was our 5th Annual MABD and we did quite well. In all that day we collected 37 blankets. There is a very generous lady in town who also bought material for the 8th grade FACS class to make 12 no-sew tie blankets in addition to the 6 other blankets she did herself. This lady is a great help to this national non-profit organization which benefits our local children. I encourage each and everyone who reads this to donate a blanket. So in total we collected around 53 blankets during this Make A Blanket Day period. If you are in my local area blankets can be brought to Oklee Quilting in Oklee, MN or Sjorberg's Cable in Thief River Falls.
